Job Responsibilities

• This sales position will be responsible for planning, execution and management of the sales process, acting as point of contact for your customer base, helping troubleshoot issues with their freight shipments 24/7
• Take charge of client service issues to the point of resolution
• Manage daily freight shipments, including but not limited to resolving issues, questions, etc to ensure service expectations are met.
• Developing your own book of business while handling your customer’s transportation needs
• Qualify prospective shippers by developing relationships and assessing their needs
• Make calls to establish relationships
• Mine existing customers to broaden business opportunities and move their freight
• Assess needs of potential customers and work with Operations lead(s) to coordinate service of the account
• Coordinate with Operational staff to best assess internal customer needs
• Coordinate with Operational staff to identify business opportunities in existing freight network
• Strong ability to sell potential new customers on the benefits and advantages of working with us
• Negotiate pricing on accounts
• Assisting accounts receivable process as needed
• Work customer book of business within TMS
• Other projects as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years related work experience
• Excellent organization skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Ability to understand transportation pricing and monitor current market trends
• Go getter attitude who looks to find the answer, not be told it
• Strong negotiation skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Quick learned who enjoys trouble shooting and problem solving
• Be open to coaching and learning
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Qualifications

• Previous transportation experience preferred
• 1+ year experience in business to business sales preferred
• Experience with Microsoft products
• Experience working with CRM products
• Availability for customer calls 24/7

Pay: $51,367.00 - $80,481.00 per year
